Champagne Wishes and Caftan Dreams

Globetrotters will gush over Elysian's fine goods crafted in Istanbul—the brand pops up this week.

Remember when we used to bound out of the house with a carefree pep in our step?

Just because we're in a tip-toe tempo these days doesn't mean we have to sacrifice style. Meet the Marseilles slides from New Orleans-based Elysian By Em, popping up in Houston this week. After being dazzled by her trip to the Grand Bizarre, Emily Morrison created a line of textiles, garments and accessories handcrafted in Turkey. From silk velvet shoes in a variety of suzani and ikat patterns to jaw droppingly cool caftans—including these lined in faux fur—to one-of-a-kind kimonos, clutches, totes, home goods and jewelry, the eclectic mix will make you dream of traveling to far off lands.

To help us take this all in stride.

Mask up, see the Elysian By Em goods in person and sip a cocktail at the brand's pop-up at a private home in Memorial this Thurs, Sept 24, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. The pop-up is co-hosted by Abejas—DM the boutique for the address. Carla Valencia Design will also be on hand customizing your own denim, leather and bags and offering her bespoke crossbody straps.
