There was the senior-year boyfriend who dumped you then asked a sophomore to prom, your college soul mate who suddenly needed “space,” and the interoffice dating disaster that ended with a shouting match at the water cooler.

Heartbreaks may be inevitable, but heart disease is not. Hit the first-ever Red Dress Collection Fashion Show, which kicks off MN Fashion Week. Hometown designers like Project Runway contestant and former Target designer Danielle Everine have created one-of-a-kind red stunners to raise funds to combat heart disease in women. Looks will be modeled by local celebs, bloggers and tastemakers including Kaela Humphries (Kris’ sister). Event perks include hip sips, a silent auction with gifts from MAC and the Vikings and, to maintain a healthy heart, a one-month membership to 501FIT.

Watch out boys: this time you’ll do the breaking.
